Environment Canada - Official news and updates from Environment Canada.  A great resource for all things related to Canada's environmental state.

Ontario Ministry of the Environment - The official homepage for the province of Ontario's Ministry of the Environment.  Find information on various environmental efforts put on by the provincial government.

Natural Resources Canada - "Plays a pivotal role in helping shape the important contributions of
the natural resources sector to the Canadian economy, society and
environment."

Greenpeace Canada - Greenpeace is a longstanding organization that is dedicated to sustaining (and often improving) the environmental state in Canada 

Pitch-In Canada - "A national non-profit and charitable organization, established in 1967. More than 3.5 million volunteers participate in thousands of projects each year. All share a common interest: to improve communities and the environment."

Waste Reduction Week Canada - Here you will find resources and contacts to assist your community, school or business with waste minimization and conservation initiatives. Be sure to pencil iWaste Reduction Week into your calendars; this year it runs from October 15-21.

Earth Day.ca - The official home to Earth Day in Canada.  Find information on upcoming events and other helpful resources.

Northwest MaterialSmart - Find links to regional as well as specialty materials exchange sites.

Freesharing.org - The sites featured on FreeSharing.org are all locally owned, grassroots groups, working to help their neighbors and the environment by keeping usable items out of the landfill by passing them along to people who can use them.

U.S. Environmental Protection Agencies List of Materials Exchanges - Wherever possible, the materials exchange programs presented contain a brief description of the services offered, including the materials available for exchange, how to contact the exchange, and other pertinent information.

Life Cycle Assessments for Environmental Effects and Greenhouse Gases

United Kingdom Waste and Resources Action Program (WRAP) - WRAP works in partnership to encourage and enable businesses and consumers to be more efficient in their use of materials and recycle more things more often.
RIPA Greenhouse Gas Calculator for Reusable Packaging - RIPA, working in conjunction with Franklin Associates, is developing an Excel spreadsheet-based methodology that calculates the reduction in GHG emissions that can be achieved by using reusable steel drums rather than lighter weight single use drums in an application defined by the user.
U.S. EPA WARM model for calculating municipal Greenhouse Gases from solid waste - EPA created WARM to help solid waste planners and organizations track and voluntarily report greenhouse gas emissions reductions and energy savings from several different waste management practices.
